Early life


Walker was born on September 1, 1982, in Seattle, Washington.[3] She performed in a wide variety of plays and musicals while growing up, including Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, Hero in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, and Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker. She studied acting and singing at the University of Wollongong. From Australia, she moved to New Zealand, where she settled in Wellington and played Joan in the short film Dead Letters by Paolo Rotondo.[4]


Career


Walker voiced Lunara in Heroes of the Storm and various characters in Fallout 76 (Miss Nanny, Beverly Solomon, Dorothy Orris, and Mawmaw). She gained considerable attention from her YouTube video 21 Accents,[5][6] which earned her appearances on both The Today Show[7][8] and Inside Edition.[9][10] She also partnered with Nokia as an accent expert to promote their Foreign Accent Cup.[11]

Walker performed her first original one-woman show, Amy Walker: Inside Out, in November 2007 and has since created three other original shows onstage and online, where viewers were able to interact with her from around the globe.[12][13][14][15][16]

In 2019, Amy Walker filmed two feature films, Evan Wood and Grace and Grit, both of which were released in late 2020. She also voiced Emi Terasawa in the video game, Judgment.[17]

Walker has painted various paintings during her career as an artist.[18] She learned how to paint in college.[19] She has stated that although she only does it as a hobby, she also sells some of her paintings online.
