He first became aware of Buckminster Fuller's work in high school, and it has been a strong influence on Richert's own work ever since.[4] He died on December 24, 2021, at the age of 80.[5]

Exhibitions

Richert exhibited at venues across the U.S., including the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive, California; Brooklyn Museum, New York; Denver Art Museum, MCA Denver, and Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, Colorado; and Walker Art Center, Minnesota.[3] His work can be found in the collections of the Nelson-Atkins Museum, Wichita Art Museum, Denver Art Museum, and Container Corporation of America, among other places.[6]
