Henry Balink (1882–1963) was a Dutch-born American painter, draughtsman and etcher from Santa Fe, New Mexico.[1] Born in Amsterdam, he was trained at the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences and emigrated to the United States.[2] He first lived in Taos, New Mexico, in 1917 and settled in Santa Fe in 1924.[2] Balink painted portraits of Native Americans.[3] His work was exhibited at the New Mexico Museum of Art as early as 1917,[2] and later at the Tucson Museum of Art.[3] It is in the collections of the Kansas City Art Institute and the Gilcrease Museum.[2]
