John Pangnark (1920 in Windy Lake, Nunavut – 1980)[1] was an Inuit sculptor and native of Arviat, Northwest Territories (now Nunavut). His work is notable for its frequent use of geometric abstraction and its nearly exclusive focus on the human figure. His work is in the collections of the Dennos Museum Center and the National Gallery of Canada.[2]

John Pangnark (1920-1980) est un sculpteur Inuit. Son travail se distingue de la production inuit commune par son côté minimaliste et dépouillé. L'utilisation de la pierre très dure de la région du Keewatin explique en partie l'absence de détails. Les traits du visage se réduisent quelquefois à de simples incisions sur la surface de la pierre.
