L'empereur Ren fut un grand collectionneur de l'œuvre de Guan Daosheng et des calligraphies de son fils Zhao Yong et de son mari Zhao Mengfu.
Œuvre
En tant que peintre, Guan Daosheng est principalement connue pour ses peintures de bambous.
S'il reste peu de chose de l'œuvre poétique de Guan Daosheng, son Poème de toi et moi (Wo nong ci), écrit après que son mari eut déclaré son intention de prendre une concubine, est resté fameux[1].

Guan Daosheng also known as Guan Zhongji or Lady Zhongji (her courtesy name) (Chinese: 管道昇; Wade–Giles: Kuan Tao-sheng; 字仲姬；1262–1319) was a Chinese painter and poet who was active during the early Yuan Dynasty. She is credited with being "the most famous female painter and calligrapher in the Chinese history...remembered not only as a talented woman, but also as a prominent figure in the history of bamboo painting."[1] She is also a well-known poet in the Yuan dynasty.[2][es] Guan Daosheng
