Rodney Matthews (geboren am 6. Juli 1945 in Paulton, Somerset, England)[1] ist ein englischer Fantasy-Künstler, Illustrator und Musiker. Er wurde 1978 durch den Bildband Yendor: The Journey of a Junior Adventurer einem breiteren Publikum bekannt. Markant sind seine ins Irreale übersteigerten, oft als bedrohlich empfundenen Darstellungen von Flora, Fauna und Technik. Er schuf zahlreiche Schallplattencover, ferner illustrierte er namhafte Bücher, Zeitschriften und Spiele des Fantasy-Genres. Daneben hat er an Fernseh- und Animationsfilmen mitgewirkt.[2]
