Das Große Jüngste Gericht ist ein Ölgemälde aus der Werkstatt Peter Paul Rubens’, das 1617 fertiggestellt wurde. Es ist das größte Bild, das Rubens je gemalt hat. Die Höhe beträgt 6,085 und die Breite 4,635 Meter. Die Leinwandbahnen sind mehrfach zusammengenäht. Es ist das erste von mehreren thematisch ähnlichen Werken Rubens’; 1619[1] folgte das sogenannte „Kleine Jüngste Gericht“ und 1620 „Der Höllensturz der Verdammten“.[en] The Great Last Judgement (Rubens)
The Great Last Judgement is an oil on canvas altarpiece, painted by the Flemish artist Peter Paul Rubens between 1614 and 1617. He created the composition and final touches and his is the only signature on the work, though it is believed between nine and nineteen studio assistants also worked on it.
