Jan Brueghel il Giovane (pronunciato [ˈjɑn ˈbɾøːɣəl]) (Anversa, 13 settembre 1601 – 1º settembre 1678) è stato un pittore fiammingo.

Appartenente ad una famiglia di famosi artisti, era figlio di Jan Brueghel il Vecchio, nipote di Pieter Bruegel il Vecchio e padre di Abraham Brueghel.

Formatosi presso il padre, Jan si recò ancora giovane a Milano per incontrare Federico Borromeo, mecenate del genitore. Dopo un viaggio in Italia che lo portò a Roma, Napoli e Palermo (in Sicilia fu in compagnia dell'amico Antoon van Dyck), Jan tornò ad Anversa nel 1625, da dove lavorò per numerosi committenti prestigiosi, come la corte di Parigi. Nel 1650 si recò anche in Francia in una data imprecisata del sesto decennio del XVII secolo.

I suoi dipinti ricordano molto lo stile miniaturistico del padre; come lui, spesso lavorò in collaborazione con altri artisti, tra cui il celebre Pieter Paul Rubens.

Jan Brueghel (also Bruegel or Breughel) the Younger (/ˈbrɔɪɡəl/,[1][2] also US: /ˈbruːɡəl/;[3][4] Dutch: [ˈjɑn ˈbrøːɣəl] (listen); 13 September 1601 – 1 September 1678) was a Flemish Baroque painter. He was the son of Jan Brueghel the Elder, and grandson of Pieter Bruegel the Elder, both prominent painters who contributed respectively to the development of Renaissance and Baroque painting in the Southern Netherlands. Taking over his father's workshop at an early age, he painted the same subjects as his father in a style which was similar to that of his father. He regularly collaborated with leading Flemish painters of his time.[5]
