The Kobe City Museum (神戸市立博物館, Kōbe-shiritsu Hakubutsukan) opened in Kobe, Japan in 1982. It is one of Japan's many museums which are supported by a municipality.[1]

The museum resulted from the merger of the Municipal Archaeological Art Museum and Municipal Namban Art Museum. The museum is housed in a neoclassical building built in 1935:[2] the former Kobe branch of the Yokohama Specie Bank. The collection of nearly thirty-nine thousand items comprises archaeological artifacts, works of art, old maps, and historical documents and artifacts relating to Kobe. It includes an important collection of Namban art (the former Hajime Ikenaga Collection), as well as a set of dōtaku and other items of the Yayoi period from excavations at Sakuragaoka that have been designated a National Treasure.[3][4]

Das Stadtmuseum Kōbe (japanisch 神戸市立博物館, Kōbe shiritsu hakubutsukan) im Bezirk Mitte von Kōbe (Japan) vereint seit 1982 das Städtische Museum für Altertumskunst und das Städtische Museum für Namban-Kunst. Das Museum ist untergebracht in einem neoklassizistischen Bau von 1935, der früheren Zweigstelle Kōbe der Yokohama Shōkin Ginkō (engl. Yokohama Specie Bank), der späteren Tōkyō Ginkō (engl. Bank of Tokyo).

Le musée municipal de Kobe (神戸市立博物館?), inauguré en 1982, réunit deux collections antérieures, le musée municipal d'art archéologique et le musée municipal d'art Nanban. Le musée est hébergé dans un bâtiment d'architecture néoclassique construit en 1935, ancienne branche de Kobe de la Banque de Tokyo. La collection de près de 39 000 pièces comprend des objets archéologiques, des œuvres d'art, des cartes anciennes et des documents historiques ainsi que des artefacts liés à Kobe. le musée est riche d'une importante collection d'art Nanban (ancienne collection Hajime Ikenaga), ainsi qu'un ensemble de dōtaku et autres objets de la période Yayoi provenant de fouilles menées à Sakuragaoka qui ont été désignées trésor national du Japon[2],[3].
