Self-Portrait or Portrait of an Old Man is an oil on canvas painting by El Greco, dating to between 1595 and 1600 and usually identified as a self-portrait. It shows the influence of Titian and Tintoretto, picked up by El Greco in Venice. It is now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.[1]

Autorretrato o Retrato de un hombre anciano es un retrato realizado por el Greco en su último periodo toledano. En el segundo inventario realizado por Jorge Manuel Theotocópuli, después de la muerte del Greco, figura "un retrato de mi padre con su quadro guarnecido", en el número 189, pero no hay ninguna certeza de que se trate del presente lienzo.[1]

Le Portrait d’un homme a connu la célébrité comme autoportrait présumé du peintre le Greco. Il s’agit d’une huile sur toile réalisée entre 1590 et 1600. Le Greco avait à cette époque entre cinquante et soixante ans, ce qui correspond à l’âge du modèle.
