Победа Буги-Вуги (англ. Victory Boogie Woogie) — незаконченная последняя картина голландского художника Пита Мондриана, одного из основоположников абстрактной живописи, начатая в 1944 году.[3]

История владения


В середине 1980-х была куплена Эмили и Бёртон Тремайн за 12 миллионов долларов, став частью коллекции абстрактного искусства, принадлежавшей компании Миллер (Miller Company Collection of Abstract Art)[источник не указан 454 дня].

В 1998 году была куплена за 80 миллионов гульденов (примерно 35 миллионов евро) у американского коллекционера Сэмюэля Ньюхауза-младшего и сейчас хранится в Муниципальном музее Гааги.[4]

Victory Boogie Woogie ist die letzte, zwischen Juni 1942 und Januar 1944 in New York entstandene, unvollendete Komposition des niederländischen abstrakten Malers Piet Mondrian. Das Bild gilt als Krönung der um die 300 Werke umfassenden Mondrian-Kollektion des Gemeentemuseums in Den Haag und als eines der wichtigsten Werke eines niederländischen Malers im 20. Jahrhundert.

Victory Boogie Woogie is the last, unfinished work of the Dutch abstract painter Piet Mondrian. Left incomplete in 1944, since 1998 it has been in the collection of the Kunstmuseum in The Hague.[1] It was purchased at a cost of 80 million Dutch guilders (approximately 35 million euros, US$40 million) from the American collector Samuel Irving Newhouse, who purchased the work from Emily and Burton Tremaine for US$12 million in the mid 1980s. It was bought in 1997 by the Stichting Nationaal Fonds Kunstbezit (National Art Foundation) through a gift from the Dutch Central Bank, commemorating the introduction of the euro. At the time the most expensive purchase ever by a Dutch museum. This amount of money spent on the gift raised questions in the Dutch House of Representatives, and also from other museums.[2][3]
