The Head of Franz Kafka (Czech: Hlava Franze Kafky), also known as the Statue of Kafka,[1] is an outdoor sculpture by David Černý depicting Bohemian German-language writer Franz Kafka, installed outside the Quadrio shopping centre in Prague, Czech Republic.[2][3][4] The kinetic sculpture is 11 metres tall and made of 42 rotating panels.[5] Each layer is mechanized and rotates individually.[6]

Franz-Kafka-Kopf (tschechisch Hlava Franze Kafky) ist eine monumentale bewegliche Skulptur des tschechischen Künstlers David Černý. Sie stellt den Kopf des Prager Schriftstellers Franz Kafka dar. Das Werk der kinetischen Kunst wurde im Jahr 2014 vor dem im gleichen Jahr eröffneten Einkaufs- und Bürozentrum Quadrio im Stadtzentrum von Prag aufgestellt. Die Installation wird in Anspielung auf Kafkas Erzählung Die Verwandlung auch Metamorphose genannt.[1]
