Mother and Children (also known as La Promenade) is an Impressionist painting by Pierre-Auguste Renoir that is housed in the Frick Collection.[1] Although the painting is most commonly known as Mother and Children, Renoir presented it with the title La Promenade in 1876.[2] The painting is displayed in an alcove under a set of stairs at the Frick.[3]

La Promenade (également connu sous le nom de Mère et Enfants) est une peinture impressionniste d'Auguste Renoir conservée dans la Frick Collection de New York. Bien que le tableau soit plus connu sous le nom de Mère et Enfants, Renoir l'a présenté sous le titre La Promenade en 1876[1]. Renoir s'est servi d'Henriette Grossin comme modèle pour la mère.
